Andean Resources selects Illumiti and SAP® Business All-in-One to help establish robust multi-national enterprise management capabilities for its move from exploration into production in Argentina.

Andean Resources is a dual listed public company (ASX:AND) (TSX:AND) focused on finding precious metal resources, starting in the Andes with its 100% owned Cerro Negro epithermal gold deposit.  The company has grown from an exploration junior into a billion-dollar gold company in 5 years. Its successful exploration programs in Argentina place Andean as arguably South America’s leading exploration junior.  The company is based in Australia, with offices in the US and  Canada in addition to its Argentina-based mining operations.

As part of its preparations to commence commercial gold production in Argentina, Andean Resources realized it requires a robust enterprise management application to support its growing operational requirements.  In addition to comprehensive ERP capabilities, they need a system that can handle multi-language and multi-currency requirements as well as other localization related requirements such as regulatory compliance.

Andean Resources recently selected SAP® Business All-in-One for its global operations, and Illumiti as its solution implementation partner.  Illumiti will implement a working solution, including an Argentinean mine site and the Corporate Business Unit based in Utah, USA.  The system is planned for production use starting January 2011.

In the first phase of the project Illumiti will implement Financial Management fuctions, interfacing with Beanfield's current Sales management system and providing improved planning, reporting and profitability analysis.
